Traveling along with thinking and exploring minds is always full of excitement. Just a passing thought at this moment: any thing solid or living around looks so real even though impermanent and is constantly transforming every second which includes you and me. Look deeper and deeper with your minds eye, to find smaller and smaller particles reaching invisible state for naked eye. But as we go deeper and see further with deeper jnana or equipments like electron microscopes you will find another strange world. Still further go closer and closer to molecular atomic and subatomic levels, there is hardly any mass but only vast spaces where gravitational principles too do not operate!! Gravity is every where as a weak force but depends on huge masses to manifest itself. But at this subatomic space level we have just space. Go further closer and you find just mass less charges and a frequency domain pervading but just empty and empty universe at the same scale as we find our stars and galacti...

May be each one of us should do dhyana... as detailed by Lord Krishna in Bhgavad Gita. May be my superstition? One gets introduced to a different world than what we perceive. But it is useless to present the same in the current physically bound frameworks of scientific approach and rational limits. Superstition and blind words are difficult to understand when used together. Superstition means strong and blind belief in apparently un-connected cause and effect post hoc ergo propter hoc type. Further adding blind is superfluous, I feel. A computer scientist like Prof Rao, will have a hard time to convince a simple uninitiated illiterate villager , how he is able to remotely through wireless networks and satellite imagery able to see the current status of his fields very far away and tell him a broken dam was flooding his fields just as he is sitting with you and chatting, after making every thing secure for the day , resting after day's hard work. In terms of business and saleability, God and creation or non-creation not withstanding, the promoters have done a good job of choosing the subject matter and provoke almost every one. Hope this converts into good revenue as planned. The truth is hidden behind many facts and a few only are discovered and many more await. Science evolves trying to unify the occurence of these as they occur tweaking their earlier theories, discarding some times in favour of new ones. We too grow along. This role of seeker is the only permanent feature of life. There can be no place for arrogance of knowledge-- they are mutually exclusive. Meantime be good to each other , love, be tolerant, spare harsh words and enjoy but never refuse to question, even if it happnens a great thinker like Stephen. Stephen has done well despite his handicap status. He seem to have improved meantime, the standing of his university in the world order of top 500 universities. My dear visitor, What is astounding in our human affairs is the myopic view coupled with too narrow a vision of premiere organizations like Nature and Royal Society as well as our own ASCE. We say we have freedom of thought and speech , but let me assure you in my 40 years of public life, my research papers like A new Theory of Rail wheel Interaction etc ( similar new theories ) got published in UIC IRCA Journal s of Europe in 1980-90. But over the decades some thing has gone wrong in our attitude. We have increased communications, too much of stuff floating around and and too much of obscurantism in so called intellectuals presenting papers having very little application in life to improve human life now. But promises in future some thing nice will happen is the refrain. We write to get research grants or get the count of research papers for professional advancement- a short term goal but truly to serve humanity is not the goal. After reading what Mr F Mars, a friend of mine opined regarding speed of light need not be constant as Telsa says, I reflect that one thing is certain; there are many points of view but there is no clinching evidence that this is the truth! It always fascinated me- who I am and why I am here! Are there UFOs? Humans have not really been producing real wealth- but used creative genius in financial markets, to create funny money- which , which when reaches a critical proportion burst out as bubble!Now we have to pick up pieces of our life and slowly struggle back to normalcy and wait for some more creative geniuses to produce another round of funny money cycle to get feel good factor driving us out to shop,shop and shop until we drop dead! I pray for once we recognize creativity in non-financial sector, that is in real life sector, to improve quality of lives with reducing costs of supporting infrastructure, through aggressive application of science and technology. Reference Scientific American article on Force Fields( 4th Nov.08) : My gut feeling is the vast energies of the cosmic origin, shaped the system we see over millions and millions of human years. It looks ridiculous for a small tiny speck, our planet earth, and its inhabitants to attempt to redefine the force fields with little understanding. But it is exciting to keep on wondering at the discoveries we daily make in our little world with limited reach allowed to us by our extremely constricted tools of senses aided by imagination and conditioned intelligence!
