But the implication is at least 20 to 30 sec additional time added in the run.  Between Dehradun to Destination turn tables of the order of 30 to 40 expected. I joined the prestigious Indian Railway Service of Engineers on the 24th December 1970, from IIT Kharagpur after my post graduation. Over 35 years before retiring in 2005 , had very fulfilling service time which included construction of the prestigious 760 km of Konkan Railway and operating the new railway as an independent head, from1990 to 2005. India can be energy surplus eliminating coal and most of fossil fuels: but what or who is preventing Newton to be believed? It is tantamount to working against the national interest? My dear visitor, What is astounding in our human affairs is the myopic view coupled with too narrow a vision of premiere organizations like Nature and Royal Society as well as our own ASCE. We say we have freedom of thought and speech , but let me assure you in my 40 years of public life, my research papers like A new Theory of Rail wheel Interaction etc ( similar new theories ) got published in UIC IRCA Journal s of Europe in 1980-90. But over the decades some thing has gone wrong in our attitude. We have increased communications, too much of stuff floating around and and too much of obscurantism in so called intellectuals presenting papers having very little application in life to improve human life now. But promises in future some thing nice will happen is the refrain. Dear Mr Louise Gardner, I am glad you quickly responded. I did expect this response and am not disappointed. But bear with me and and pray introspect on what I have to share with you after 40 years of public life and as the only engineer from India whose work is covered both by National Geographic and Discovery in 160 countries- my Anti Collision Device technology and Skybus metro rail- I am also specially chosen to be appreciated by the World Intellectual Property Office Geneva for my innovations.
