UBUNTU and I

My old Compaq Presario B3800 had XP running too slow and the system was very slow. Adopted the free Open Source Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and found to my surprise lightening speeds. Only take care to choose in settings for volume, option as no amplifier so that the system uses the internal sound card. Excellent software and free too. Flash. ram, mp3 and all videos play quite comfortably. LINUX based system I find is fast and stable too. Open Office provides complete office tools and all chat and social communication programmes work like Google talk,MSN,Facebook Chat, Skype etc. I am enjoying and wish to share the happiness with those who want to use this software absolutely free but well supported by a group of dedicated well wishers.

Those who have problems of commissioning the mic for chat programmes particulalrly for those netbooks or laptops with twin mics acting for stereo recording,may try this. Down load the Pulse Audio Plug in from the Ubuntu Software center, then open the application, for the input device, and unlock the twin channels for mic, make one channel mute by making the volume zero. The mic starts working for chat programmes like Skype etc as well as in Gmail talk programmes.

SKYBUS RAIL : The unique disruptive rail technology of this century.

It is yet to hit experts of railways , that an innocent simple reconfiguration of railway technology elements in 2004 and and World’s First run on Sept 15 2004 of Skybus in Goa,  (    https://youtu.be/TzFH26E6eto  )   actually ushered in a mile stone, which I myself did not realize full implications at that time.   Many centuries of derailing, capsizing and colliding railways which we had been using with expensive mitigating measures, suddenly becomes obsolete.  Even in 2022 there are are hundreds of incidents in the world even in the most advanced railway systems and human lives lost. In 2005, once dynamic tests confirmed safety and more comfortable running of Skybus Rail, the entire world railways stand obsolescent.  To say the 175 year old , evolved highspeed rail too now , is obsolete is shocking .
