To all my Konkan Railway and Indian Railway friends!
When Abdul Kalaam asked me if I regret not taking the Assistantship in US offered in 1966 because the same work I did in India , would then have had great impact in world community and India anyway would claim credit because our Indian had done it!
After a moment I said , it was a conscious decision being proud of my country of birth, to choose post graduation when offered in own country , that too invited by IIT as First Ranker in University and forego offer of scholarship abroad.
And it was the will of Sri Krishna!
And I do not regret. The kind of love and commitment I had from friends like you allowed to wander at frontiers of knowledge every day, experiencing the divine joy of discovering some thing new and doing what no one else in the world could do!
For us the journey on the path of knowledge is by itself the greatest reward!
Whether the people benefit or not depends solely on quality of governance! We did our duty! And we got our reward!
In 1966 I did not opt for USA. But now at 70 years of age it is Sri Krishna's will that I and my wife have become citizens of USA yesterday.
But my love for my country of birth where I belonged and worked for 35 years 24/7 basis, out of 70 yrs, remains deep and unwavering.
In US I had been researching for a solution to assure energy security for entire humanity. I am happy by Sri Krishna's grace my work is accepted by ASCE and French Engineers and is now officially proceedings of ASCE.
Please remember it happens to be US based institutions and organisations, like ASCE , National Geographic , Discovery and UK based BBC who noted the technology advancements we achieved in a corner of India , and brought out to world's notice in more than 170 countries! We of course are grateful to them!
The education I got and attitudes of doing work for the joy of working for benefit of humanity are purely because of being born in India!
May you and your families enjoy forever the divine joy of experiencing the jnana ananda swarupam of Sri Krishna!
