Are we willing to change?

What is astounding in our human affairs is the myopic view coupled with too narrow a vision of premiere organizations like Nature and Royal Society as well as our own ASCE. We say we have freedom of thought and speech , but let me assure you in my 40 years of public life, my research papers like A new Theory of Rail wheel Interaction etc ( similar new theories ) got published in UIC IRCA Journal s of Europe in 1980-90. But over the decades some thing has gone wrong in our attitude.
We have increased communications, too much of stuff floating around and and too much of obscurantism in so called intellectuals presenting papers having very little application in life to improve human life now. But promises in future some thing nice will happen is the refrain.
We write to get research grants or get the count of research papers for professional advancement- a short term goal but truly to serve humanity is not the goal.
Entire world is struggling for energy and worried about global warming. ice caps are melting. So we have two groups of people- one argues that it is dangerous and we must have more funds , more grants. more satellites to monitor and think of negative measures of control gas emissions by legislation, without offering an alternate solution.
And there is another group funded by the oil companies, who ridicule the global warming theories and produce data that actually the temperatures are coming down!!
Fortunately NASA and IPCC of UN concluded that global warming is real and now people are concerned. So again an opportunity for getting more research grants for nano-technology solar and wind energy projects - by itself nothing wrong. But results? Not in our life time.
What is amazing is if a simple solution without frills and which does not cost huge funds using old classical mechanics comes along, it is viewed with contempt because only a high school level knowledge of physics is needed. All the PhDs feel it below their dignity to even touch it.
As Einstein said our human stupidity has no limits while universe may have. What is useful to people and can save 97 % of energy should at least have a hearing and criticism. Suppose it is foolish then the same should be proven using the same equations which are used by me to prove, that I am wrong. After all Newton's equations ares till valid for space probes.
If it is true that what I am saying can be done, then the consequences of 97% saving of energy and creation of a million jobs should excite any normal engineer who is committed to well being of the society. Sadly it is not the case.
ASCE transport Division rejected twice my submissions. Nature of London thinks the subject matter is not suitable for them because it is more of engineering and not science. Royal Society of London says they do not cover this kind of paper!
So pure physicists are happy in their own exclusive world of invisible particles and discovering secrets of origin of the world while the humanity is crying out for survival with dwindling oil reserves and climate change concerns.
ASCE is happy just to ask for more funds to construct bridges and roads generating employment only during the construction but not sustainable over long period in future, to improve quality of life at reducing costs.
If we believe in the main objective of our lives whether we are in publishing or engineering or research , our effort should progressively improve our human lives in real terms, then we have no conflict of interest.
Well I attach also the papers rejected by TDI who of course have their editorial policies to reject. But if policies are such that we deny our ASCE a chance to take up $450 b projects providing employment to a million fellow Americans, and produce 30 to 40% profits too adding wealth to the country, then some thing needs to be reviewed, an introspection by ASCE. As an ASCE member I wrote in the blogs of President too.
If every one thinks that they are too small and their voice is not heard, then the society gets what they deserve- and indifferent governance not related to our day to day problems. Why we should not ourselves travel for free as a birth right?
I am sharing the material very widely- and not requesting specifically for publication but for review and introspect and you are free to publish too, if you think public purpose is served. I lived my life in public interest and do not look for any compensation from the publishers. Just give credit to the author.
But circulate among all your editorial colleagues in ASCE , all journals too , so that we together introspect at the cost of blind isolation by each one in own compartment of constrained thinking, always correct in letter of rule, but terribly wrong in spirit.

I have submitted proposals to Administration of Obama, for $450b projects in transport sector, to improve lives of our Americans , with American technology and add wealth too with shovel ready projects using gravity power. Even existing metros and rail roads can run on gravity power! If only ASCE also throws its weight to support, it does make my effort easier; America would benefit. But it is a matter of choice of course.
What is our problem in societies like ASCE,, Nature, or Royal Society to take benefit and improve their image in public! Why not try out at least? What kind of wisdom is it, when you cannot find any thing wrong, just ignore dictatorially using editorial privileges? It is ridiculous to think a few can stop an idea flowering and taking route: the information channels are aplenty and world needs a solution, not in distant future but really now.
It is our lives- we must take charge- not the bureaucracy.
