Why not outsource governance of society?

A thought crossed my mind. Why not offer on Design, Finance and administer the society to assure peaceful living with 90% of all the tax income put in an escrow account , assuring a steady income to the private consortium which will run all services, provide infrastructure law and order protection, communications of specified standards?

A contract for 33 years is not bad and may be the Governor of each state may remain as the figure head like Queen of England, except that he gets elected, every 3 to 5 years.

Google, some other construction and infrastructure companies may form a consortium in US and similarly, Reliance, Birlas, Tatas, GMR type infra companies in India, can certainly form consortium and take over delivery of governance. The government offices can be closed down and golden hand shakes can be organised by the same mega-consortium.

Only army is in my scheme kept funded by the 10% of tax revenues and may be some percent of profits of the consortium too. Under control of the President. To protect borders.

Golden hand shake was what I suggested for the rest of the meployees, some of whom who are competent may be employed by the consortium too. They do need people. My calculation is just about 10 to 15% of them truly are efficient and honest too... so they will be happy to function for the consortium.

From the way we take for granted that a government servant is supposed to work in public interest has proven to be patently false as seen for more than 60 years of democracy, there is no need to have these organised corruption and political processes in the name of democracy.

Either we can adopt China model of single party with discipline or fully capitalist model of private enterprise running the show. The hybrid model is neither democratic nor disciplined to deliver service.

The 10 million government/psu servants generally and the political class are leeches sucking the blood of the countrymen and resources.


Then there wont be any need to bribe. One can make money directly.

All will live happily and the 10% surplus of budget for the Governor is better than deficit of 30% as on today. All debt servicing burdens will pass on to the consortium.

Also all the organised service personnel, with experience and competence will get employed by the consortium getting better remuneration. Anyway even now many are doing the same indirectly.

To be comfortable that we have freedom of speech, some TV networks can be dedicated for endless debates among various groups and the feed back given by the consortium representative real time on these networks. Persons like Barkha Dutt can sprout many more to handle this business

Failure to deliver services will be punishable by merely making a counter offer to another consortium to take over the functions at the risk and cost of the failed one, with all assets too transferred , just as we do in our railway contracts.

All the overheads of current elected parliaments and legislative wings will be replaced by electronic system of taking popular voting for any legislative measure to be adopted.

So from the 10% surplus of tax collections, we maintain the President, and the Governors of state, their small reserve units and the Army who will report to the President. All the rest of security will be responsibility of the consortium.The show of democracy is limited to electing the Governors and the President, who form a Supreme council, to review the working of the consortium by a structured electronic feed back format obtained from the population governed.

Well I found myself a happy citizen peacefully sleeping in this new netherworld, till the siren of a police pilot car of a Minister ,zooming outside my bedroom window , rudely woke me up bringing back the reality.


Come to think of it; why not?

The state will be out of financial mess in no time.

SKYBUS RAIL : The unique disruptive rail technology of this century.

It is yet to hit experts of railways , that an innocent simple reconfiguration of railway technology elements in 2004 and and World’s First run on Sept 15 2004 of Skybus in Goa,  (    https://youtu.be/TzFH26E6eto  )   actually ushered in a mile stone, which I myself did not realize full implications at that time.   Many centuries of derailing, capsizing and colliding railways which we had been using with expensive mitigating measures, suddenly becomes obsolete.  Even in 2022 there are are hundreds of incidents in the world even in the most advanced railway systems and human lives lost. In 2005, once dynamic tests confirmed safety and more comfortable running of Skybus Rail, the entire world railways stand obsolescent.  To say the 175 year old , evolved highspeed rail too now , is obsolete is shocking .
